Parent/Carer comments on Tapestry December 2022

'This is amazing, I could burst with pride!! He adores nursery and he’s flourishing with you guys. You’ve built such a brilliant rapport and relationship with him, he is proud to be a part of NPNS community and he’s never been so confident. He loves coming to nursery, he usually moans on the weekend when he can’t attend. When leaving his last Nursery his next steps were to attempt writing his name, which he’s now happily doing without me asking (he’s attempted to write his name in all of his Xmas cards). His other next step was to socialise more with his peers, which he also does happily at NPNS. I feel this is because he truly feels he belongs at NPNS, he feels safe and content and he trusts his teachers, he can be himself and express all of his ideas. He has also built relationships and made friends with other children and this has been positively influenced by staff who are tuned into Isiah’s interests and encouraging him to share them with his peers! He always comes home and shares his nursery experiences with us. Today on the playground when we went to collect his sister and he heard a mummy talking about ‘Mary’ and he asked if that was the ‘baby Jesus story’, he then continued to tell her how he’d learnt all about it at nursery!

You’re leaving such a positive impact on Isiah and we can’t wait to watch him grow more!'

'This is so lovely to see, you really go above and beyond to help them explore their interests. I'd like to say I really appreciate how Kerry ensures that my child can get involved with the cooking activities so he doesn't feel left out. Thank you again.'

'Thank you for such an in-depth report of how our daughter has been doing! It’s so nice to see all the pictures and hear how she’s been doing every step along the way. We really appreciate all the love, care and support she has had from all the staff at Netherton Park Nursery. You guys really do an amazing job, it’s unbelievable to us that she didn’t eat or talk just 4 months ago. And now she’s eating much more regularly and chatting away about how much she loves her time at nursery! We can’t wait to see what the new year has in store for her.

Thank you so so much everyone at nursery, we are both so thankful of you all.'

What do you feel we do well?

  • 'Great communication, regular updates.  Polite and friendly staff. I know my child is in safe hands. Easily relatable'

  • 'The staff know the children really well and care for them like they are their own. My child loves attending and I feel really happy to have chosen Netherton Park.'

  • 'The nursery exists for the benefit of its children and they are always at the heart of decision making. There is a genuine care for the children and their families. My child’s practitioners show a genuine interest in her.'

  • 'Overall I think the nursery is run really well, key information is communicated promptly and every member of staff is friendly.'

  • 'By my child you do everything amazing I can’t think of anything that I’ve not been happy with.'

  • 'All staff/ teachers make parents and children feel very welcome and comfortable.'

  • 'Lovely friendly members of staff which give me a sense of ease when my child is in their care.'

  • 'Absolutely everything it’s the best place for any parent looking to place their child keep up the good work ladies.'

  • 'You put the children’s needs first, treat them as individuals and really care about their development. I think the support my two children have needed has been approached as a ‘partnership’ with us as parents, which I think has been really good.  Also found it easy to  discuss areas that we aren’t sure about i.e my child's speech as home felt more developed than it was at nursery, I was able to discuss with Lauren and we were advised that more support was needed at nursery.  I liked this honesty, as it allows us to plan our actions and support at home too.'

  • 'There is a comfortable and friendly community at the school, parents are made to feel welcome and part of the school. There is a sort of non-formal relationship between staff and parent which makes it more relaxing and not out of place. Even during COVID and snowy weather conditions the staff went above and beyond for our children which was absolutely incredible and I cannot fault them.'

  • 'Very well planned and thought out to play for the children. Especially the outdoor area and connecting with the nature around them which is  essential for a healthy development.'
