Games home lending library
We offer the opportunity for pupils in Oak to borrow a game from our selection to play at home with their family.
Games are borrowed for a maximum of 2 weeks at a time, then returned. Another game can then be borrowed.
The benefits of playing games include:
- promoting quality family time
- developing communication and language skills
- following instructions
- helping children to learn its ok to not always win and to be happy for whoever wins
- they encourage healthy competition
- turn taking and sharing
- number recognition, subitising, 1:1 correspondence, shape, colour and a range of other mathematical skills
- developing listening skills and concentration
it is time away from a screen
