Games home lending library

We offer the opportunity for pupils in Oak to borrow a game from our selection to play at home with their family.

Games are borrowed for a maximum of 2 weeks at a time, then returned.  Another game can then be borrowed.

The benefits of playing games include:

  • promoting quality family time
  • developing communication and language skills
  • following instructions
  • helping children to learn its ok to not always win and to be happy for whoever wins
  • they encourage healthy competition
  • turn taking and sharing
  • number recognition, subitising, 1:1 correspondence, shape, colour and a range of other mathematical skills
  • developing listening skills and concentration
  •  it is time away from a screen
