A reminder to parents/carers regarding the size of foods suitable for young children to avoid choking.
You may be aware that there has unfortunately recently been another case of a young child who has died due to choking on food that has not been cut to the correct size.
We therefore want to remind all families that any foods that they give to their child to eat MUST be cut into small pieces and that children must never be left alone while eating.
All foods that are sent into Nursery in lunch boxes MUST be cut up into quarters - any that are not will be sent back home and your child will not be allowed to eat them.
Lists of foods included are:
As well as anything else we feel is a risk
Although not allowed in lunchboxes other foods to be aware of at home are:
We thank everybody for their support in keeping all of our children safe.

Tier 3, very high alert, will cover the entire Birmingham and Black Country region, which continues to experience high numbers of Covid-19 cases.

Restrictions include:
COVID-19 cases are continuing to soar in Dudley, and now the borough has the highest figures in the West Midlands.
Unless the number of cases starts to fall, local restrictions could remain in place post lockdown, and in the run up to Christmas.
Residents are being urged to follow the national lockdown rules.

As you will all be aware from last Saturday Dudley moved into Tier 2 and now we are going into lockdown from Thursday this week - the numbers of confirmed cases is rising dramatically and we all need to do our part in helping to reduce numbers.
Nursery School will remain open as normal but there are some things I need to remind all parents/carer of in order to keep the staff, children and yourselves safe:
We were lucky to not have a confirmed case in the first half term and we want to do all we can to keep it this way but it needs everyone support to ensure we don not need to close bubbles.
We ask for EVERYONES full support regardless of your personal opinions of the current situation. Thank you.
If you do have any questions about anything to do with Coronavirus please contact Alison. This is a difficult time for all of us and we are aware of how anxious things can get - please be reassured at Netherton Park we are doing our very best.
