UNFORTUNATLY do to low uptake we have had to cancel the tutor for this session ()e need a maximum of 10 in each session)
We will however have crafts available for parents to complete on this day in our usual café session.
Due to the huge success of the Nursery Rhymes craft session and the First Aid session both run by Family Learning we are pleased to be able to offer you the chance to attend a Story and Craft session based on traditional stories and fairy tales. This will be a fun practical session where you can make resources to use at home with your child
Wednesday 11th March
9.00am or 12.30pm
Please note this is a session for adults only.
Please see Tapestry or the letters sent home with information on booking a place. There needs to be a minimum of 10 people attending for the sessions to go ahead.
See Alison or Jackie for more details.
On Wednesday 12th February we hosted 2 very successful sessions covering basic First Aid for families. We had 36 parents/carers attend.
The sessions covered CPR on an adult, child and baby, the recovery position, choking, cuts and burns and rashes as well as other topics parents were interested in.
Excellent feedback was received:
"I feel confident that I could at least have a go if someone needed help now."
"I loved the practical element and being able to use the dummies/other people to practice. The trainer was excellent. Thank you."
"Very hands on relaxed learning."
"Especially enjoyed learning about choking as I have young children."
"Enjoyed the delivery and hearing real life examples. Delivered with a sense of humour which made the group situation feel more comfortable."

Tuesday 11th February is Safer Internet day. This is a world wide event.
The global theme is ‘together for a better internet’ and this year in the UK we are putting the focus on how young people explore and express their identity online.
Everyone has their part to play in making the internet a better place, including you!

We are running sessions for parents on how to keep your young child safe online on Wednesday 22nd April - more information to follow. We hope you realise the importance of ensuring your child uses the internet safely (no matter how young they are) and will attend one of the sessions.
