On Thursday 14th March the Mayor of Dudley, Andrea Goddard visited us at Netherton Park Nursery School. Alison and Verony gave her a guided tour of the school, where she met with with staff and children.

The NEST is now fully stocked and available for any Nursery family to access any items needed. Please see Alison, Jackie of come to our Reception to access the room.
We are really please to announce that our new library is now finished and ready for the children to access.
We are really pleased to let you know that we have a name of our 'helpful hub'.
A huge thank you to everyone who suggested a name there were lots of lovely ideas. Staff and Governors have voted and have agreed on the name: "The NEST"

We thought this was a name that 'sums' up what its all about - a nest is a safe, secure and nurturing place and fits in with our theme of trees.
We will be launching the opening of The NEST over the next few weeks starting with our annual harvest collections.
Between Monday 16th and Monday 23rd October we are asking for donations of any of the following to stock The NEST. Jackie and Alison will collect at the gate when you drop off your children.
All items must be in date and non-perishable:
Tinned and dried foods to include as an example:
Pasta
Rice
Noodles
Soup
Pasta Sauce
Curry Sauce
Tinned tomatoes
Tinned meat
Tinned fruit
Tinned vegetables
Tinned fish
Instant mash potato
Long life milk/non-dairy alternative
Cereal
Squash
Tea
Coffee
Toilet rolls
Toiletries:
Shower gel
Deodorant
Sanitary items
Bubble bath

There is no pressure to donate as we are fully aware that times are very hard for many people at this present time. We then hope that those families who need support will access and take items from The NEST - where everyone supports together.
We are raising awareness and fundraising for Brest Cancer.
Donations for a pink ribbon throughout October.
We are also hosting a 'Coffee and Cake' event on Friday 20th October.
All fund raised throughout October will be split equally between Breast Cancer Now and Macmillan Cancer.
We have a few spaces for January 2024 - book onto our open day on Saturday 7th October 10.00-12.00pm to come and have a look around our Nursery School

Netherton Park Nursery School is NOT closing down
You may have heard that the Leapfrog and Leapfrog Too specialist provision led by the Local Authority that is based in our Nursery School is no longer going to be based here after the end of this term
The Nursery School WILL continue to remain open providing Time for Two and Nursery provision.
